MARINE PROJECT 1

LAGUNA BEACH, CALIFORNIA 2023​

​Family is everything to this growing unit of five, and their historic, traditional home is their cherished nest. Our focus for this project was to honor the home’s original character while creating new spaces that cater to the family’s evolving needs. We thoughtfully explored every hidden corner of the existing footprint to design functional communal areas and individual spaces for each family member.​​​  The project was divided into three phases. Each phase was planned a year in advance and orchestrated to be built within the time frame of the family's summer vacation.  In the first phase of this project we redesigned the kitchen, office and entry hall.
