The historic Belardo Estate exudes an aire of privilege as it sits behind two layers of gates and a framework of thick, green hedge walls. Sublimely private, the expansive grounds are perfectly placed in the heart of the most coveted Palm Springs enclave, and directly face the dramatic
San Jacinto mountains.
The spirit of this 1930's Spanish Revival is distinctly feminine. An old Grande Dame of yesteryear - a time when elegance and sophistication were revered.
Maintaining her vintage allure was paramount when planning the complete renovation of the estate. We embraced the nostalgic romance of the home, and preserved all of the original steel windows and doors. Carefully, we incorporated relevant conveniences and elements of today's style of living into the architecture. Traditionally closed spaces were strategically opened, and a fresh flow
was created throughout the home and to the outdoors.
Incorporating a bit of
Bohemian elegance, we added rich texture, bold patterns and unexpected colors, keeping the design light-hearted and playful.
We leaned into the playfulness of the Palm Springs lifestyle by incorporating whimsical outdoor indulgences at every turn - a private soak outdoors or a Gin Fizz by the fireside - luxurious vignettes were strategically placed to fully embrace the magic of the setting.
