A new chapter of life inspired the reimagining of this Laguna Beach home, creating a space that feels grown up—refined, relaxed, and effortlessly welcoming. Guided by the homeowner's love of nature and thoughtful simplicity, the design balances clean lines with earthy materials. Layered textures and natural finishes weave a feminine softness throughout, creating a sophisticated warmth that makes the home feel uniquely her own.
The furnishings palette was inspired by the garden just beyond the front door, creating a subtle dialogue between the landscape and the interiors. The deep plum tones of the Redbud trees are echoed in the velvet lounge chair, while the soft blue-green hues of the Westringia find their way into the rug and accent textiles.
Rich oak paneling brings warmth and depth to the space, while the stone-clad fireplace introduces graceful movement and quiet elegance. Open shelving provides a place for books, collected objects, and treasured pieces gathered during years of travel.
Removing the heavy upper cabinetry allowed the kitchen to feel more approachable and connected to the rest of the home. In its place, the textured Japandi-inspired tile extends to the ceiling, bringing warmth, character, and a quiet appreciation for craft and pottery.
Open shelving offers a place for everyday essentials, collected objects, and styling that changes with the seasons and the rhythms of daily life. The balance of practical function and personal expression creates a kitchen that feels both beautiful and lived in.

dining chairs introduces another layer
of refined texture.
By reconfiguring the layout of the primary
bathroom, we were able to create a full wall of storage while opening the space to feel lighter, more functional, and elegant. The custom sink, fabricated from a single slab, adds a sculptural and organic quality to the room. The Japandi-inspired tile was meticulously planned to allow only full tiles from floor to ceiling and wall to wall.
This thoughtful attention to detail creates a sense of harmony throughout the room and reflects the homeowner's refined sensibility, resulting in a retreat that feels like a reflection of her.
